When reflecting on what has been done, children themselves admit that the hardest part was learning "all the difficult stitches” as Kyra puts it. Additionally, Jade found the biggest challenge trying to make the artwork look good on both sides, because she wanted to keep it neat. Deen, who immediately knew what he would do as a personal project, his favorite bird cardinal, says that the most fun part of it was seeing how it looked in the end.
Chloe chose to embroider “Buon Natale Nanna” (Merry Christmas Nanna in italian) that she will post to her grandmother as a Christmas gift now that she cannot visit her because of Covid-19. Meanwhile Jade loves basketball so much that she decided to create a basketball ball as her personal project.
The short exhibition took place till 16th of December.
Loji Höskuldsson together with many other professional Icelandic contemporary artists participate at the Landakotsskoli exhibition Alphabet of my life, threads and strange forms. The show opened on 28th of August 2020 and consists of art pieces by Hrafnhildur Arnardóttir (Shoplifter), Loji Höskuldsson, Ýrúrarí, and the trio Steinunn Marta Önnudóttir, Anna Hrund Másdóttir and Ragnheiður Káradóttir works.
